FAITH FORMATION

Sacrament Preparation

Most Holy Trinity Catholic Church welcomes those who are preparing to receive the sacraments of initiation. The preparation is organized according to age groups. The process involves both peer group programs for children and adults and also whole family learning. Registration in sacrament preparation includes family faith formation—G.I.F.T.

Growing In Faith Together is the whole family component of faith formation. G.I.F.T. promotes faith formation at home. There is a monthly session that prepares the participants to celebrate the Catholic faith in community.

Attendance at G.I.F.T. is essential preparation for the receiving of the sacraments. All children who are preparing for the sacraments must attend G.I.F.T. and children under age 15 years must be accompanied by an adult family member to G.I.F.T.

The length of the retreat allows time for reflection and integration of each person's spiritual relationship with Jesus Christ. The retreat is extended over the liturgical year so that persons participating can reflect and renew their relationship with Jesus. It is intended for those who want to be more generous in their relationship with God.

The retreat includes the following components:
